Now we're in Rome. This is the iconic Basilica di San Pietro, aka St. Peter's Cathedral. These gorgeous buildings are where the church spends the money it has left over after it's legal settlements.

That's St. Peter's Basilica. I always thought that "basilica" was a special class of cathedral, but I learned that it is just a Roman word for a gathering place.

That's the fancy bridge leading to the castle. It has a bunch of statues along it. It replaced a bridge that collapsed killing more than 100 people.
